It's Time to Play the Game

Alright, be honest. Who here is a wrestling fan?
My hand is raised in the air right now, and I'm far from ashamed to admit that 'I AM. I AM.'

If you read my last journal entry, you'll know that I went to see WWE Smackdown when it came to my town a few weeks ago. Who could really say no to such an opportunity?
Which reminds me - we got a lot of great pictures, and I promise to have them posted by the end of this week.

Now, let's just establish who my favorite wrestlers are...Rey Mysterio for starters. What an incredible athlete(and his tattoos are sick). I love this man and what he does. His entrance theme is even on top played on my iPod. (Booyaka, booyaka. 619!)
Jeff Hardy. Can we just say incredible athlete again? The Swanton Bomb takes my breath away everytime I watch him perform it.
HBK. I've loved him since I was a little girl watching him in DX. (Triple H is also a fave, of course.) Sweet chin music is an awesome finishing move, and I'm glad he's still using it today. How he gets his foot that high in the air will continue to puzzle me. ('And if you don't like that, we have two words for you. SUCK IT!')
The Undertaker. The Phenom. The Dead Man...you get the picture. Hells Gates wouldn't be such an awful place to dwell if this man was there. His entrance into the ring alone is enough scare the hell out of most people I know. 17-0. What a streak.
And CM Punk, whose tattoos make me jealous. I love what he stands for(and I'd love your shirt, CM Punk. Do you think you could possibly make that happen please?)
Who can forget John Cena? One word : hilarious.

Anyway. Now that we've established our wrestling obsession...Who payperviewed Wrestlemania 25 last night?
At this point, my hand is yet again in the air. 'I DID. I DID.'
Four hours of commercial-free, biggest event of the year, insane stunts seen on no other wrestling night, absolute wrestling heaven. Ahh, my heart flutters at the thought.

Well, for those of you who missed it(and those who just love to relive the moments over and over again in your mind), let me supply a commentary on how the thing went down.

Wrestlemania 25 started with the Money in the Bank Ladder Match. Eight superstars from Raw, SmackDown!, and ECW battling it out to be Mr.Money in the Bank. As you should know, the eight lucky participants this year were Mark Henry, Shelton Beljamin, Kane, MVP, Kofi Kingston, Finlay, Christian, and CM Punk. Punk won the ladder match in Wrestlemania 24. At Wrestlemania 25, it was his third time to compete in the match. After insane acrobatics and impressive athleticism from most of the competetors this year, CM Punk went down in history as the first man to not only win the Money in the Bank Ladder Match twice, but the first man to win it twice in a row. You go CM Punk! I think we all look forward to when he cashes it in to fight for a championship.

Next came 25 Diva match. Won't even speak of it because it was lame. After that Chris Jericho got his ass beat by a bunch of retired wrestlers. I don't care if he 'won', he still got the hell beat out of him, and thats good enough for me.

And then came the moment I was waiting for : Jeff Hardy vs. Matt Hardy, in Extreme Rules. Let me tell you..Extreme is exactly what this match was. The Charismatic Enigma pulled out an arsenal of crazy stunts that could have injured him beyond repair. But Jeff Hardy doesn't stay down. Matt may have won, but only because Jeff took himself out of the match on accident. Oh Jeff, that ladder stunt could have been incredible; if only it were flawless.

Then Rey Mysterio took on JBL. Lets just take a moment to talk about Rey's entrance...what an entrance it was. First of all, I love the way he jumps up and enters the ramp on every Wrestlemania. I could spend the 55 dollars every year just for that moment. And his outfit? Rey Mysterio as the Joker? What a beautiful site; he pulled it off effortlessly. I will forever be in love with that mask. May I borrow it Mr.Mysterio?
Now, when they entered the ring and the bell finally rang(after a few cheap shots from Bradshaw), the third move Rey did was the 619, followed by a jump off the top rope and a pin...It took 21 seconds for Rey Mysterio to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship. I'm positive it went down in history as 'shortest match of Wrestlemania'. Oh yeah, and then JBL quit. I can only pray to God that he was being serious and will never return to WWE. I'm so tired of looking at his cellulite.

Undertaker vs. Shawn Michaels..I can't even describe this match at all. So I'm really not going to attempt. All I can say is, after two Tombstones, a Hells Gates, a Last Ride, and two Chokeslams(I believe it was two) from the Phenom(Undertaker), and two Sweet Chin musics from Shawn Michaels, as well as amazing acrobatics from both of the athletes, the Undertaker defeated HBK to hold a 17-0 winning streak at Wrestlemania. I don't think this is something we'll ever see again in wrestling.

Cena beat Edge and The Bigshow to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Finally the Champ is back! I just hope he can keep it. It's dark days in WWE when someone like Edge holds the title.

And the last match. Triple H beat Randy Orton into submission. After the use of an illegal weapon, hidden by The Game and unseen by the Referee, Triple H pinned Orton and beat him, reataining his title as WWE Champion and hopefully shutting Orton up forever. I can't help but think that Orton will have something to say about it tonight on RAW, though. We'll see.
(ADDITION:)
Sure enough, Orton demanded a rematch. He'll be getting that rematch at Backlash. Randy Orton, Ted, and Cody vs. Shane, Triple H, and Batista. That's right. You heard it. THE ANIMAL. He's back and in action. He made his return tonight to help kick the crap out of Legacy. So glad to see you back in action Batista. I eagerly look forward to seeing you in Backlash. I just hope I can order it too. ;)

Time has come and gone for words

Alright, for those of you who don't know, I'm a closet wrestling fan.
Well, I used to be a closet wrestling fan until revealing it now.
Monday and Friday nights you can find me sitting in front of my TV with my dad, my sister, and my cousin watching WWE.

So, of course, when WWE announced that it was coming to the town near me, of course I jumped at the oppurtunity to go. And go I did.
Saturday I was among hundreds of screaming fans in Little Rock, AR watching Jeff Hardy swanton bomb his brother, Matt. Thank you for finally fighting back, Jeff.

Of course, watching The Game tag team with The Undertaker was another highlight of the night. ;) Believe me, they work well together.

Me and my sister got the most awesome Rey Mysterio shirt. 619, baby. I'll take pictures later when I'm feeling like it.

Speaking of how I feel...My sister got sick yesterday evening, and of course I tried staying away from her to avoid catching anything. She goes to the doctor today..and finds out she has the flu. Shortly after she gets home, I become sick with it as well. Now I have to call the doctor to get medicine to treat this crap.
Stay home, kids. The flu is in circulation.

Eagle Eye

My cousin loaned me the DVD earlier this week, and I just sat down and watched Eagle Eye twice with my sister today.
Let me tell you, this movie is marvelous. If you haven't seen it yet - go watch it now.
I'm being serious. Walk down the street to the local movie rental joint, PPV it as soon as you get the chance, buy it, whatever. Just watch it.
I swear you won't be disappointed.

I love Shia LaBeouf(Transformers is an amazing movie, and I can't wait for Revenge of the Fallen - June 24th people. Mark it on your callenders!) But even Shia, being the amazing actor that he is...truly shocked me. I didn't expect this serious performance from him. It was refreshing to see a different side of him.

So, I won't ruin it or you. Because, believe me, I want to write a full-out review on this movie and break it all down for you. But I'll contain myself for your sake.

Just go get the movie. ;)

In other news - I'll be going to the race track this weekend to watch Horse Racing again. It's really quite fun - even if gambling away money leaves a bitter taste in your mouth.

Oh, and my sister also recently got me interested in WWE wresting again. I used to watch it when I was a kid(back when Stone Cold Steve Austin was the MAN.) So every Monday and Friday night, you can find me in front of my TV screen watching Cena kick some ass. Oh, and the Heart BreakKid isn't looking too bad, either. ;)

Merry Christmas

So this year has pretty much been the most amazing year of my life; I've been to three concerts from my favorite bands(*cough*Metallica was the best*cough*), started learning to drive, bought myself a laptop, and..GOT A CAR. Thats right, you heard it. a car. Well, it's actually a truck. and I have to share it with Hayley. But it's still awesome.

Yesterday I was opening presents, and my parents are like 'Here, open your stocking. It's a lot of weird stuff in there because we just got it all yesteday and the store was really picked over.' So me and Hayley start pulling out all of this stuff for a car; air fresheners, fuzzy dice, cleaning cloths, storage bags, etc. And we're like '..what the heck?' My parents, of coure, just said 'We told you it was weird. Now make sure you got everything.' So we're digging all the other air fresheners out, and then pull the last thing..two key chains, with a key attached. And we're bothing looking at it and reading it. 'We don't have a toyota..'

Then my father tells us to open the door.

And sitting in the drive way with a big red bow was our truck. That is right. OUR truck.

The little sneak(which would be my father, btw) drove it up there at around 3:30 in the morning.  And my mother had covered the window in the living room with 'Special christmas paper' the night before..Yeah, right.

Paramore

Okay, there are likely millions before me who have said this very thing, but that doesn't stop me from being of a part of this particular redundance...If you ever get a chance to go to a Paramore concert. GO!
I know Paramore has a lot of fans, and you certainly don't need me to tell you this. But I felt like rambling a bit about it tonight anyway.

Last night I went to a Paramore concert.(Paper Route, Phantom Planet, and Jack's Mannequin opened for them.) Paper Route was okay, I didn't love them, and I didn't hate them. They were good, but not good enough to make me want to run out and buy the CD right away. I will say that they are a pretty new band, and I see a lot of potential, though.
Phantom Planet was a whole different story. Can you say 'A-MAY-ZING' with me just one time? They're awesome live, totally entertaining, and know exactly how to make the crowd laugh. LOVED them. Next time I go to the mall, their CD is coming home with me.
Now..Jack's Mannequin..I hate to tell you this, fans. And I don't mean to offend..But they were really quite aweful live. I'll be honest and say that I'm really not all that big a fan of theirs, but I've heard there music before(who hasn't?), and the live show was terribly disappointing. If you've ever been to one of their shows and it was good, please tell me. Maybe they were just having an off night? It couldn't have helped that the whole time they were on stage, they happened to be chugging something much stronger than beer...
The concert was an outside venue, and I was in the mosh pit with my lovely twin sister. We stood right at the edge of the stage, but somehow managed to avoid the mosh pit. Also..might I add that Paramore has some of the most amazing fans in the entire world? There was a girl standing beside me who, as soon as we walked up, asked if I was going to be annoyed by her dancing and loud mouth during the concert. I responded with a no..And she proceeded to yell at the bands on stage..and got a response from them twice. She was awesome. And as soon as Paramore got on stage, she somehow convinced me and my sister to dance with her for over an hour..I'll add here that no one dared to try come and shove us out of the way while this sparadic jumping was going on. Thank you awesome fan whom I love! (I'm not saying names, though she did give me hers. ;) Her and her boyfriend hugged me, and she called me her new best friend..and when the concert was over, and I was walking back to the car with my family, she somehow found me again and ran at me screaming 'My best friend!' At which point, I got another hug. Gotta love those fans.

anyway. Paramore live is incredible. Anyone who dares to call their musicianship 'simple' ought to go sit in one of there concerts..then come back and tell me it's simple. I dare you.
Oh! Guess what amazing souvenir I can home with? While I was standing, waiting for Paramore to come on, one of the roadies waved me over to her, and slid something into my hand, while whispering 'Don't tell anyone.' She told me to look at it..and I did. I was a lucky reciever of a Paramore Guitar Pick(that actually says 'Paramore' on it), used by the band themself. When I say 'used by the band themself', I mean that this pick was actually used by the band. You can even see where the thumb has worn away the writing on the pick. Awesome.

Anyway. I've had a lot going on recentely. I went to the Breaking Dawn release party at midnight on Friday. It was hectic. And I saw someone there whom I actually wished to never speak with again(the person in question KNOWS that we are not friends, yet still has the nerve to keep emailing me and begging me to talk to them..and to be something more than a friend.), and they had the nerve to come up to me, and try to hug me and act like we're best friends. The whole time certain person was talking, I didn't look them in the eyes once. Yes, I did mean to disrespect you. You disrepected me numerous times now, and I want nothing to do with you ever again. You will never be a part of my life, so stop trying. It's getting you no where.
If only certain person could learn to move on with there life. I tried giving them hints, which they certainly did not get. I finally had to be not so subtle about it, and tell them they way things were..they still didn't get it. I finally got cruel with them, and tried to hurt their feelings so they would leave me alone, and possibly finally understand..they keep coming back. So now, I've decided they will be ignored, because there is nothing else I can do. Sucks when that happens, doesn't it?

Ahh, moving on from that, because it's negative. And I will have no negativity in my life. LIFE IS GREAT. So live it!
Summer is almost over, and it will be back to school for most of you all soon.(Alas, the brilliance of being homeschooled.) Go out with a bang, buzznet! Have one last summer blast for me, yeah? Because I won't be having any type of adventure until October(cousin is graduating from bootcamp, and I am going to Fort Benning to see him.)

Summer

So, it was recentely the first day of summer, and I'm wondering what all of you are doing for your summer this year?
I'm not going to be having a vacation this summer. But, I am going to a Paramore concert in August! Yay me!

My cousin, who I have been close to my entire life just recentely joined the army. He is going to be an Airborne Ranger. And, on Wednesday he was flown to Fort Bennings, Georgia. (Wikipedia that if you don't know what it is.) He's there for basic training right now(that basically means bootcamp.) He'll graduate in September, and me, my mom, my sister, and my grandmother are going to Georgia to see him graduate. Then he gets to come home with us for two weeks, before he's sent back to Fort Bennings for Airborne Ranger training. He's been told that he's probably going to war after that.
It's been a really emotional time for the entire family. =/ If you have a loved one in the military, I'm sure you know exactly what I mean. He's cut off from any outside contact right now. We won't hear from him at all for another two or three weeks. It's tough. But, he's a strong kid.

Anyway. So, thats basically what I'll be doing this summer. What about you?

Flyleaf

Last night I went to see Flyleaf in concert. And I have to say that it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life.
Before this, the best concert I've ever been to was Green Day, followed with a close second of Evanescence. But now, Flyleaf is definitely the best concert I've seen.
The feeling you get being there, listening to them play is so hard to describe. It's just something you'd have to experience for yourself, because there aren't words to express them.
Lacey gives these incredible speeches about the fact that everyone dies, and that it's not amazing when people do die. What is amazing, is that we're all still alive, and we've made it to this day. It was really eye-opening for me, and so inspirational.
Pat was one of the most energetic people I have seen in my entire life. I was sitting in the fourth row of the concert, and the place that we went to see it at has this rule about how you can't stand up, you have to sit down the whole concert. Where is the fun in that? Well, halfway through the second song, Pat jumped off the 10 foot high stage, and ran out into the crowd, getting everyone to stand up. After that the energy of the concert changed. The whole band was smiling when it happened.
Also, it was the drummer, James, birthday. And Pat took the microphone and had the whole crowd sing Happy Birthday to him. It was really sweet.

If you ever get the chance to see them live, do it. You won't regret it, I promise.

Kayaking anyone?

I went kayaking on Sunday. Can you believe that? I never thought I'd do it.
Reasons why are:
1. I hate the sun. Hate, hate, HATE it.
2. I hate bugs.
3. I hate swimming.
4. I hate snakes.
Did you know that all of these things I included on a regular kayaking(and canoeing) trip? Obviously, this spells HELL for me, right?
WRONG.
I was quite suprised to find that I LOVE kayaking. It was the most fun I've had in a long time. Seriously, you have to try it some time. You'll love it.
I hate the outdoors. But kayaking has become by new favorite hobby. How odd.
I kayaked for around 7 miles. It took over 4 hours, but it was worth it.
I didn't get a sunburn because I kept applying sunscreen(probably more often than necessary. I'm far too paranoid.)
However, I was chased by a few snakes. If you're in a boat in the water with them, did you know that they'll actually follow your boat? Water snakes are really aggressive.
The only really bad thing that happened to me is the blisters all over my hands. Owww. Note to self: buy a pair of fingerless sport gloves. I'm planning on going back sometime very soon. Hopefully I'll avoid any injuries next time.

Oh, and in other news, Big Brown lost the Belmont. A triple crown winner has evaded us once again.

Bummed

It's been a while since I've updated, so I decided to do that now.
At the current moment, I'm kicking myself in the ass for not being older than I am. The Foxboro Hot Tubs are playing a show tomorrow in my town, but you have to be 18 or older. The club they're playing at set that standard. Which, I'm quite surprised about, because I saw Green Day in concert when I was 13. And, let me tell you, Green Day is quite a bit more vulgar than Foxboro Hot Tubs. But, whatever. Maybe I'll get a chance in two and half years?
You know, looking forward, two and half years seems like a long way. But, in two and half years when I'm looking back, it's going to seem like it went faster than the blink of an eye.
Life goes by too quickly to worry yourself over insignificant details. Yet, you can't focus on the big picture so much that you forget to have any fun along the way.

Anyway, who was watching the Preakness yesterday? Of course, Big Brown won it. He's one step closer to becoming the next Triple Crown winner since Affirmed in 1978. And there have only been a total of 11 Triple Crown winners in Horse Racing history. So, as you can tell, its quite a bit achievement.
To find out if Big Brown wins it, you'll have to watch the Belmont Stakes on June 7.

Oh, and for those of you who are wondering what the Triple Crown is, Wikipedia has quite a nice article on it.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triple_Crown_of_Thoroughbred_Racing

Also, I've been busy these last few weeks with two new puppies. Thats right, two. We have five dogs now.
Three of which are Jack Russell Terriers.(One is actually a Jack Russell/Feist mix. She's my favorite.) Do you have any idea how much those dogs shed?
We also have a 13 years old Chihauhau, and a Chocolate Lab that weighs probably over 100 pounds.
It's ridiculous around my house.

Oh, Wednesday I think I'm finally going to go and take my driving test. I've been able to get my learners permit for over a year and a half now. And, I've had the book for the written test for several months. Isn't that sad? I should have gotten around to it way sooner than now.

Kentucky

Did anyone else watch the Kentucky Derby today? I watched the entire pre-show and all the races before the Derby this morning. Then, at 6:00p.m. when the race came back on, I was watching again.
I happen to love horse racing. If any of you have ever been to the track, you'll know that its really quite exciting and fun. I only got to go once this year, but hopefully next year I can visit more often.
Anyway, I was really cheering for Eight Belles, the only filly in the Derby. 20 horses, and only one is a female. Thats what I call girl power.
 - For those of you that are wondering, a filly is a young female horse(3 years old or younger). A mare is a femal horse over the age of three.

Eight Belles would have been the first filly to win in 20 years. The last filly that won in 1988, Winning Colors, died this February at the age of 23.

Eight Belles placed second after Big Brown. Sadly, she never got to celebrate or be proud of her victory. Right after the race finished, she collapsed on the track and broke both of her ankles. Eight Belles was euthanized in the middle of the racetrack. =,(
And there is the part that I hate about horse racing.

Here are some pictures of the gorgeous Eight Belles.

Insomniac

Guess who should be sleeping right now, but is blogging instead?!
If you guessed ME, than you're right!

Nothing too exciting is happening in my world right now. Same old, same old, as always.
It gets quite redundant after a while.
So I don't really have much to blog about tonight. Just thought I'd type while I had nothing else to do. Hey, its either this, or stare at my ceiling for three hours while I try to fall asleep. This is clearly the better option, is it not?

Ooh, I'm undecided on which lip piecing I want now. I have several options.I either want a lower labret, in the center. A veritical labret, in the center. Or a moroe. I need to figure it out soon, because I should be getting it done in the near future. Not /too/ soon, though. It'll probably be a month..or two..or so. Grr. I'm tired of waiting.

I've read the risks on the piercings, and I'd like anyone who knows about this kind of stuff to help me out a bit here. Gum recession and chipped teeth? Exactly how common is it? And which piercing do you think would be safer?

Anyway, icons will be coming tomorrow. I'd post them tonight, but I don't have the time for it.

Gone missing

Sorry if it has seemed like I've gone missing the last few days, Buzznet.
I've been busy.

And the storms have been crazy. I haven't been able to turn the computer on much.
On Thursday night, tornados hit my state. In a county nearby, it destroyed and damaged over 40 homes, and ripped a school apart. Ouch.
While all of that was happening, it was hailing and thundering, and lightning like crazy at my house.
And while that was going on, I was watching Sweeney Todd on DVD. Awesome, right?
The best time to watch Sweeney Todd is late at night, while its storming. Everytime its storming, you know what I'll be doing.

Anyway.
The Star Wars Saga marathon is going on this weekend on SPIKE. I'm not sure what channel that is for cable or anything, because I have satelite.
But you should watch it. Its been happening since Friday night. And I was watching it yesterday and today. You should be too.

Now. It is late, and I have a busy day tomorrow.

Chocolate and Skinny Jeans

I bought the CUTEST pair of bright red skinny jeans today. Seriously, they're awesome.
I almost bought a pair of purple acid-washed skinny jeans instead. But, I backed out at the last minute. I kind of want to go back to the mall and get the purple ones...
But, oh well. I'm doing more shopping all day on Wednesday.

I also went to the local part supply store today. Its huge, and has a bunch of crap in it that you would never use or need, but you want to buy anyway.
I went in to buy something, and walked out with something completely different. Me and my sister made the mistake of going down the candy isle. And, we saw Wonka bars..so of course we had to buy them. Its a weakness.
So now I'm sitting here eating mine, and getting fat.

What are you up to tonight, Buzznet?

The new limited addition 'Skull Mania' Chi. They come in black, and white. I got the black one, and my sister got the white one.

Here is a picture of mine(you'll have to go to my sisters blog to see hers, because I'm sure she'll be posting it)

There it is! Awesome, yeah?
This isn't just some cheap walmart flat iron. I think it costs around $135. I can NOT believe my mother got me one.
She's a cosmetologist, so she has easy access to all of these nifty hair goodys.
I almost passed out when I saw what she bought me. There was lots of fan-girl squeeling going on.
The thing is, I saw it a few weeks ago, and I was like 'Mom, if I gave you the money, would you order it for me?' And she said 'We'll see, Cheyenne. Maybe.' She had already bought it for me way before then. And I never even expected to get one.
Its the first time she's actually surprised me with a gift in a /long/ time. So you can imagine how happy I am. =)

And be watching out , because there will probably be pictures of me posted holding the flat iron, and fixing my hair within the next few weeks(I have to get a good comera first.)
